I want to take a second to talk about this show. This is most definitely not a kids cartoon show and shouldn’t be on Nickelodeon. As far as I am concerned, in labeling Legend of Korra an “animated drama”, the word “animated” is just for technical purposes.

This show has dealt with civic unrest, social inequality, political extremism, murder-suicide, depression-related suicide, spirituality vs. government, social idealism, terrorist groups, three-dimensional portrayals of murderers, identity issues, fanaticism and depersonalization. Not to mention the incredible cinematography and imagery.

The last five minutes of this season were the most heartbreaking things I’ve seen on television. This show needs to be getting more attention and I really encourage everyone to start watching.

Digital Art Inspiration fron  Nikita Veprikov

    on deviantART, on Behance

Nikita Veprikov is an amazing 22 years old CG artist from Ukraine! Combining digital painting with retouching and 3D modeling he managed to develop incredible art skills.

He started working with 3D Studio Max in 2005, when a friend told him this is the program used by film makers. Even if at first working with 3D software was only curiosity, after a while it became desire for excellence.

In his effort to grow as an artist, he recently started to study arts, learning more about drawing, composition, color theory and other instruments he can use to improve his work.
